Learning Coordinator

Pallant House Gallery is seeking a Learning Coordinator. This role is key to engagement with new audiences, with a particular focus on children, young people and families (CYPF). The post holder will work closely with the Learning Manager to deliver an exceptional programme of creative events and activities for children, young people and families that support Pallant House Gallery’s mission to play a pivotal cultural role in the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookings of self-led and guided visits for schools, colleges and universities, communicating in a timely manner with teachers and lecturers, including explaining the programme options, pre-visit and on the day information

  • Oversee delivery of learning visits on the day, including studio set-up, welcoming and orientating guided groups and delivering Encounter sessions in the Gallery spaces

  • Work with Learning Programme Manager to co-ordinate freelance artist educators and Learning Programme volunteers to lead or assist with delivery of creative CYPF sessions including setting rotas, booking educators and volunteers, co-ordinating training and briefing meetings, and supporting recruitment when necessary

  • Co-ordinate the set-up of studio and Gallery based workshops for CYPF in school holidays and at weekends, including co-ordinating and delivering monthly Saturday Art and Craft workshops and free Open Days twice a year

  • Liaise with LPP Administrator regarding uploading of events on Spektrix and school booking procedures.
