National Theatre are looking for a Deputy Director of Production and Technical to join the Production and Technical Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production & Technical Director to ensure that all technical and production aspects of the artistic programme are realised from the earliest design process to final get out.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting Production & Technical Heads of Departments, and Production Managers with their recruitment, people issues and consistent upkeep of staff welfare.

  • Work with the Planning department towards the long-term planning of productions

  • Support Production Finance with annual department budget setting, keep an overview of budgets and workshop planning

  • Champion sustainable practice across the department and help with innovations to ensure targets are met.
