Assistant Merchandiser
MR Porter is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to support the Merchandising team in achieving seasonal sales and profit targets in line with the seasonal business plan. You’ll collaborate with the Buying team to help curate a merchandise range tailored to the customer profile in each region.
The ideal candidate will have relevant commercial experience in fashion retail merchandising, ideally within the luxury sector. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, demonstrate commercial awareness, and show a genuine eagerness to understand our business, product offering, and competitive landscape to help drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
Forecast sales and intake on the department WSSI, managing continuity business and reporting back to the Merchandiser with a clear overview of departmental performance.
Prepare weekly reports to monitor the performance of your department, highlighting key findings to your team.
Act as a deputy for the Merchandiser in trading and planning meetings, both internally and externally, when required.
Communicate clearly with your team to ensure alignment on priorities and progress towards departmental goals.
Ensure broader business teams are informed of departmental focuses and priorities.
Prepare weekly performance reports, highlighting key insights and findings to support trading decisions.
Deliver meaningful analysis to guide team strategy and inform wider business planning.
